By accessing and using the Verlantis website ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you use a specific Verlantis product, demo, early-access service, or open-source project, additional posted guidelines, licenses, or rules may also apply.

2. Description of Service

Verlantis builds software for solar system design, renewable energy community management, and research-grade renewable energy simulation. The website describes products and projects including Designer, Hub, and BREOS, and may provide waitlists, demo requests, release updates, documentation, and pre-launch or early-access information.

Some Verlantis products or features may be in pre-launch, beta, or early-access phases. Availability, scope, features, integrations, pricing, and documentation may change over time.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Verlantis and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Portugal and foreign countries.

BREOS is an open-source project. Use of BREOS source code is governed by the license and terms published with the applicable repository. These website terms do not replace or limit the open-source license that applies to BREOS code.

4. Simulation, Design, and Financial Estimates

Verlantis software and materials may estimate solar production, battery performance, self-consumption, financial return, energy community outcomes, emissions, and other technical or economic metrics. These outputs are estimates, not guarantees of future performance.

Actual energy yield, savings, ROI, battery performance, community results, and consumption patterns may vary due to weather, site conditions, equipment selection and degradation, installation quality, tariffs, regulation, user behavior, data availability, and other real-world variables. Verlantis is not responsible for financial, engineering, procurement, installation, or regulatory decisions made based on website materials or software outputs.

5. No Professional Advice

Information on this website and outputs from Verlantis tools are provided for informational and planning purposes only. They are not professional engineering, legal, financial, tax, investment, or regulatory advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making project, investment, or compliance decisions.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to misuse the website or any Verlantis service. This includes attempting to interfere with the website, submitting unlawful or harmful content, misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, or using the website in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
