Verlantis builds software for solar on buildings, from Porto, Portugal. We are a small team, so email reaches the people who actually build the products — there is no ticket queue in between. We answer in English and Portuguese.

The fastest route for most things is info@verlantis.com. The sections below say what to send where, and what to include so we can give you a useful answer the first time.

BREOS — bug reports and code questions

BREOS is our open-source simulation engine for solar PV and battery systems, published under the BSD-3-Clause licence. For bugs, feature requests, and questions about how the code behaves, please open a GitHub issue rather than emailing us. It keeps the answer public for the next person who hits the same thing, and it is where the people who wrote the code are looking.

Email us directly for research collaboration, questions about citing BREOS in published work, or licensing arrangements beyond what BSD-3-Clause already grants you.

Designer — early access and pilots

Designer is our browser-based solar design tool and is still in development. To be told when it opens up, join the waitlist on the Designer page — that list is how access goes out, so it is worth being on it even if you also email us.

If you are an installer or an engineering office and want to talk about a pilot, email us and say which country you work in and roughly what scale you design at: systems per month, and the typical size in kWp. Those two numbers tell us more than anything else about whether we can help you yet.

Hub — renewable energy communities

Hub is our operations platform for renewable energy communities: members, sharing coefficients, billing, invoices and the day-to-day running of a community. If you manage or are setting one up, email us with three things — the country the community operates in, roughly how many members it has or expects, and whether it is already running or still being formed.

We ask because the rules for energy communities differ enough between member states that those three facts change the entire answer. Without them we can only speak in generalities.

Privacy and data requests

To ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email info@verlantis.com and say what you are asking for. Our Privacy Policy sets out what we collect and the legal basis for it.

What to expect

We read every email and reply ourselves, usually within a few working days. We do not operate a phone line, and we work remotely rather than from a public office — so email is genuinely the way in, not a fallback behind a reception desk.
